Bethel Guest House
Bethel Guest House is located on the mountain at Thomassin 28 Impasse Décidé #2. It is new and very clean, with a wonderful staff who will make you feel welcome and keep you comfortable during your visit. The food is excellent, varying from traditional Haitian dishes to delicious American meals. We have 40 bedrooms and 43 bathrooms. We have a basketball and volleyball court, a library with internet service, and several balconies with stunning views of the Haitian countryside. An international telephone is available for a fee of $1 US per minute. Bethel is a Christian guest house designed to host mission teams from different denominations. As such, we hope that our guests would understand that there are certain restrictions. For example, no alcoholic beverages, no smoking in the rooms, respect for the privacy of other guests.
For groups of 7 guests or more, the rate is $50 per person per night including breakfast and supper buffet. The rooms can sleep 2-5 people in double or single beds.
For individuals or couples the cost is $80 per room per night and $25 per person per day for food (or $7 for breakfast, $6 for lunch and $12 for dinner if you do not take all three meals). There is also a suite available for $100 per night. These rates apply also for adoptive families who come just to visit their child(ren) before the adoption is complete. Families are not required to pay anything for children under 10 years. For standard transport around Port-au-Prince (airport, shopping, visiting New Life Link, etc), families must also pay a total fee of $50 per adult. Excursions outside the city are possible for a fee of $150 per day for a car and driver. The cook, the driver, the gatekeepers and the housekeepers are very appreciative of the generosity of the guests who give them tips upon departure. As a special courtesy, we are pleased to offer adoptive families who are escorting their child(ren) home from Haiti 2 nights free of charge. Transportation and meals must still be paid, but accommodations for 2 nights are gratis.
